Cover design done for client via Reedsy
I was contracted by a client via Reedsy to design a cover for a soft porn book. The client wanted the cover to have a cartoonish look to it, something like a gross-looking Disney aesthetic.
Cover Sketches
The client wanted an illustration of the main female lead front and center on the cover. After discussing with the client what the character was to look like I went about sketching out some ideas for how she would appear on the cover. The client intially wanted to lean into disturbing and gross imagery, done in an animated style (something like a Disney aesthetic).
Logo
One idea I tried out for the logo was having it be formed with the character’s tongue. You can see me trying to work that into the image in some of the cover sketches above.
